I recently ordered from this iconic fish bar, and I must say, it truly exceeded my expectations! As someone who loves trying local takeaways, I was particularly impressed with the crispy batter on the fish. It had the perfect crunch, and the fish itself was flaky and fresh. I also tried some of their chips, which were golden and seasoned just right. The portion sizes were generous, and it felt like fantastic value for money. One of the highlights was definitely the homemade tartar sauce; it complemented the fish beautifully. The only downside was that the waiting time was a bit longer than I anticipated, but I think it’s worth it for the quality of the food. Plus, the staff were friendly and apologised for the wait, which made a difference. I’ll definitely be returning again soon – it’s hard to find such a gem in this day and age!

What a delightful find! I’ve been looking for a takeaway that not only serves good food but also has a warm atmosphere, and this place hits the mark. I opted for their special fried rice and some spring rolls, and both were absolutely delicious. The fried rice was packed with flavour and had just the right amount of seasoning. The spring rolls were crispy, and I really appreciated that they weren’t greasy at all. The only minor hiccup was the order being slightly slower than expected, which can happen on busy nights. However, the staff were very polite and kept me updated, which I found reassuring. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying meal. I’ll definitely be back for more!
